Green Beans in Farming Simulator 25: A New Crop
It’s been a while since we discussed what’s new in Farming Simulator 25. Recently, the developers shared some exciting information about another crop that will be available for planting in the game — green beans.
Those who played FS22 may already be familiar with this crop on modded maps (especially on Brazilian maps). However, it was not included in the base game. So, the developers decided to fix this and add green beans to the upcoming game.
This is a valuable and useful plant that can be grown quickly and easily and sold at a good price. So, let’s not waste any time and dive into the details of this legume.
This crop needs to be planted in the spring. The ideal time for sowing is from April to June. Planting beans during this period will yield the best harvest.
You’ll need to buy seeds from the farm store for planting. The consumption rate is 280 liters of seeds per hectare. Such volumes can be considered quite costly since there are crops with lower seed consumption. However, this high consumption is surely offset by the high value of the final product. Moreover, beans grow in just four months — from August to November, meaning the return on investment will be quick.
The game will also feature a mechanic for the growth stages of this seasonal crop. It will grow gradually in several phases. As the plant moves through each stage, its appearance will change, becoming larger and growing more densely together.
There will also be stages of the crop's decay if the harvest is not gathered in time or if it is not properly cared for and protected from harmful environmental factors.
How to harvest green beans in FS25: The New OXB BP 240i Harvester
Now, let’s talk about the equipment. For harvesting green beans in Farming Simulator 25, the developers are introducing a new harvester from OXB — the BP 240i. This giant machine weighs over 20 tons and is equipped with a 315-horsepower engine. It can reach speeds of up to 25 km/h on the road. However, keep in mind that such heavy machinery is very slow off-road, so expect the speed to drop to 10 km/h.
This harvester model will feature:
With proper land preparation, the harvester can collect up to 13,050 liters of beans per hectare, which is a very decent yield, especially considering the product's price.
Now, the most exciting part — how much can you earn from selling green beans? The average price per 1,000 liters will be around $2,160.
This amount may vary depending on market conditions, but it’s already clear that beans will become one of the most profitable crops in FS25. Moreover, beans can not only be sold directly. Like any other crops, they can be used to produce various products and food items, significantly increasing profitability.
The developers haven’t revealed all the details yet, but it’s likely that beans will become an essential resource for creating new products.
Today, we’ve talked about another new crop expected to appear in Farming Simulator 25 — green beans. We also know that the game will feature rice, spinach, peas, and even peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
We’re looking forward to more details about the new crops! Farming Simulator 25 releases on November 12, so soon, you’ll be able to test the new crops in the game.
